Redirects
Redirects allow for the automatic maintenance/updating of old and outdated links. For example, let's say you have a end-user flash demo video on an old site or page and the URL needs to be updated to reflect it's current location. Upon sitemap changes, your eCrowds platform will automatically update/redirect internal and external links and content to the newer, relevant location.
Creating a new redirect:
- Click on "Components" in the left navigation
- Under "Modules," select "Redirects"
- Once in the Redirect interface, click "Create new redirect"
- Fill in the redirect name, destination url (location), security settings, and relevant tags and keywords
- Click "Create redirect" to submit.
Editing an existing redirect:
- Click on "Components" in the left navigation
- Under "Modules," select "Redirects"
- Once in the Redirect interface, navigate to the redirect you would like to edit, and click "Edit" under "Actions" on the far right.
- Once in the edit window, make any changes necessary, including changes to the redirect name, new location URL, taxonomy categories, and tags.
- Click "Save redirect.
