Content Types are the fundamental elements of eCrowds; at its core, each element within the system must have a content type. Content types bring together a form and template; each Content Type in the system must have one of each.
Menus provide an easy way to create navigation links dynamically. Menus can be created based on taxonomy, users, content type, module, or even a custom list of pages. Since menus are so diverse, they can easily be used for many tasks on a web site.
Queries are similar to menus in the sense that they both produce a list of dynamically created items. Queries, however, are used to select criteria to query the database on when constructing searches for your web site.
Templates are web pages, which are incomplete because they have no content. They can be imported from an existing web page or created from scratch. Different parts of the template, called regions, can be filled with eCrowds assets such as menus or blocks.
