New Site Defaults
Several example objects are created automatically when a new site is added. These example objects can be modified and deleted at any time. They are created so that the new site is fully functional without any additional work. Here are the default objects:
- Roles
- Administrator - This role has all the abilities in the system and the user who created the site is added to this role
- Manager - This role has all the abilities in the system and the user who created the site is added to this role
- Fields
- Title - This field is for the title of the object
- Tags - This field is for tags for the object
- Taxonomies - This field is for assigning taxonomy categories to the object
- Word Processor - This field is for a WYSIWYG editor
- Description - This field is for the object description
- Text Box - This is a multi-line text box for content
- Start Date - This field is a date chooser to determine when the content should be published
- End Date - This field is a date chooser to determine when the content should be expired
- Action Date - This field is a date chooser and is used for sorting in calendars and queries
- Comments - This field is for recording a change comment to be associated with the version of the object
- Taxonomy
- Site Name
The following Taxonomy Categories are included:- About
- News
- Blog
- Wiki
- Site Name
- Menus
- Tags - This menu outputs the tags of the requesting object
- Context Navigation - This menu outputs an unordered list of the other objects in the current taxonomy category
- New Users - This menu outputs the five newest users on the site
- Top Navigation - This menu outputs selected objects and has a wiki page, forum, idea exchange, and blog post
- Quick Links - This menu outputs selected objects and is empty
- Queries
- Site Search - This query limits results to 50 at a time and includes a description of the content
- What's New - This query limits results to the five most recent objects and includes discussion comments, pages, idea exchanges, and forums
- Security Policies
- Public - All Visitors - This makes the object accessible by visitors
- Private - System Users Only - This makes the object accessible for registered, system users only
- Forms
- Standard Page Form - This form uses the fields Title, Tags, Taxonomies, Word Processor, and Description
- Word Processor Form - This form uses the field Word Processor
- Content Types
- Standard Page - This content type is for pages that need some of the standard fields
- Wiki Page - This content type is for pages and includes attachments and discussions
- Blog Post - This content type is for pages and includes discussions
- Category Index - This content type is for pages and includes the category overview menu to show link to all the objects, including descriptions, for items in the current taxonomy category
- Word Processor - This content type is for blocks that need a simple word processor
- Block
- Footer - This block uses the Word Processor Content Type and includes a dynamic copyright date
- Page
- Welcome - This page uses the Wiki Page Content Type and is set up to be the site's homepage (which can be changed)
- Blog - This page uses the Blog Post Content Type
- Search
- Search - This search uses the Site Search Query to search the designated modules
- Idea Exchange
- Idea Exchange - This example idea exchange is used for users to submit ideas and have them voted on
- Forum
- Forum - This example forum is used for discussions
