  • Calendars

Calendars provide an area within eCrowds to communicate important events, dates, and information with your end-users in a structured format, such as a list or month.

  • Connectors

The Connectors portion of the Components area is a place for all the tools you use to bring added wisdom and cohesion to your eCrowds platform. Here is where you would tie Google Analytics to your site or connect your eCrowds instance with Salesforce.com. With eCrowds, if you choose not to integrate certain 3rd party apps, you don't have to worry about excess interface clutter. For example, if you choose to tie in Google Analytics to your eCrowds platform, but not Salesfroce, no sign of a Salesforce Connector will appear in your instance. Currently, the eCrowds Connectors that come out of the box include integration with: Google Analytics, Twitter, Prospect Insight, and Salesforce.com.

Content Types are the fundamental elements of eCrowds; at its core, each element within the system must have a content type. Content types bring together a form and template; each Content Type in the system must have one of each.

  • Discussions

Discussions provide an area within eCrowds for you or your users to post announcements and other topics in order to elicit feedback from other users and open the floor for discussion.

  • Fields

Fields are objects of data in their simplest form. Data fields such as text fields, radio buttons, start dates, titles, and word processors (just to name a few), are utilized within forms, which are made up by a collection of fields. Fields can be created once and used across forms and multiple sites.

  • Files

Files work the same way in eCrowds as they do with many systems you're familiar with; however, files utilized by your eCrowds platform are stored remotely. Files include items like CSS, images and graphics, and any other asset outside of the system you upload into eCrowds.

  • Formats

Formats allow menus and queries to be customized. They are processed as Liquid Markup, allowing for nearly limitless customization.

  • Forms

Forms are the visual aggregation of multiple fields used for data entry and processing. The eCrowds platform allows for completely customizable forms that can be created, used, copied, and edited.

  • Forum

Forums in eCrowds are designed to provide a platform for sharing user generated content and holding user discussions. The eCrowds platform allows you to create one overarching community forum with numerous sub-forums, or to create as many individual and/or top-level forums as you see fit. Additionally, search functionality provided by eCrowds enables both you and your community-users to search forum posts and discussions for the content they're looking for.

  • Queries

Queries are similar to menus in the sense that they both produce a list of dynamically created items. Queries, however, are used to select criteria to query the database on when constructing searches for your web site.

  • Redirects

  • Security Policies

Security Policies are the combination of objects and access rights. They are individual items that can be applied to any piece of the system - content types, pages, comments, users, etc.

  • Taxonomies
