Forums
eCrowds provides unprecedented depth and flexibility of forum functionality in the white-label social networking market. Forums in eCrowds are designed to provide a platform for sharing user generated content and holding user discussions. The eCrowds platform allows you to create one overarching community forum with numerous sub-forums, or to create as many individual and/or top-level forums as you see fit. Additionally, the platform provides search functionality that will enable both you and your end-users to search forum posts and discussions for the content they're looking for.
Creating a Forum:
To create a new forum:
- Click on "Community" in the left navigation
- Under "Modules," select "Forums"
- Once in the Forums interface, click "Create new forum"
- Fill in the Forum name, description, and add all relevant information, including a forum description, a "Limit" to the number of forum categories for pagination, a sort method, relevant taxonomy categories, and tags.
- Click "Create forum" to submit.
Editing Forums:
- Click on "Community" in the left navigation
- Under "Modules," select "Forums"
- Once in the Forums interface, navigate to the forum you would like to edit, click "Edit" and under "Actions" on the far right.
- Once in the edit window, make any changes necessary, including updating the forum name, description, pagination limit and sort method, taxonomies, and tags
- Click "Save forum."
