Discussions provide an area within eCrowds for you or your users to post announcements and other topics in order to elicit feedback from other users and open the floor for discussion.

Creating a Discussion:

To create a new discussion:

  1. Click on "Community" in the left navigation
  2. Under "Modules," select "Discussions"
  3. Once in the Discussion interface, click "Create new discussion"
  4. Fill in the Discussion name and add all related sites and taxonomy categories
  5. Add all relevant keyword tags that will help users search for and find your discussion
  6. Fill in all relevant information and click "Create discussion" to submit

You will see a message, "Discussion was successfully created," once you've submitted your discussion, and will immediately be brought into the interface for that particular discussion. This is where you are able to add comments to start the discussion and/or upload and edit attachments to associate with the discussion.

Editing Discussions:

  1. Click on "Community" in the left navigation
  2. Under "Modules," select "Discussions"
  3. Once in the Discussion interface, navigate to the discussion you would like to edit, click "Edit" and under "Actions" on the far right.
  4. Once in the edit window, make any changes necessary, including updating keywords, tags, and taxonomies.
  5. Click "Save discussion."
