Content Presentation
eCrowds provides a very flexible architecture for presenting content based on Templates and Content Types.
Templates
Templates act as the base foundation for determining how content is displayed. Templates can have one or more regions and the regions can have one or more object assignments. When an object is displayed, the system first checks to see if its Content Type explicitly designates a Template. If so, that Template is used. If not, the Site's default Template is used, if configured.
Content Types
Content Types are used to group like objects together and are used to change the region assignments of a Template. This can be useful for keeping the number of Templates to a minimum by plugging in different assignments, if needed. Content Type defaults for the different modules in the system can be applied at the Site-level.
