Blocks
Blocks are system elements that allow administrators to select a content type and form to be displayed in a "pluggable" piece of content. Blocks allow for the easy reuse of content, while still allowing you to change the look and feel of the block's content via the use of templates.
Creating New Blocks
Prerequisites: Content Type
- Click on "Content" in the left navigation
- Under "Modules," select "Blocks"
- Once in the Block interface, click "Create new block"
- Fill in the Block name and choose the appropriate Content Type
- Fill in all information relevant to the Content Type selected, and click "Create Block"
- Click on "Content" in the left navigation
- Under "Modules," select "Blocks"
- Once in the Block interface, navigate to the block you would like to edit, and click "Edit" under "Actions" on the far right
- Once in the edit window, you will see various text and content editing options, which depend upon the Content Type of your block

- Once in the Block interface, navigate to the block you wish to delete, and click "Delete" under "Actions" on the far right.
- When prompted with "Are you sure?" click OK.
*Note- if you want to save a draft of the block, click the "Save as Draft" button, instead of submitting your new block for creation.

*Note - Blocks in eCrowds are applied at the Template level, where they are plugged into regions of the template. The regions that appear in the template are added into the template's HTML "Content" field and subsequently replicated in the template itself.
