Part 3: Adding a Blog Post

Now that we have explored how to expand on your site's discussions and forum, in this email we will cover how to add a new post to your blog. Blogs are a great way to facilitate community interaction by providing short commentary pieces that are comment enabled. eCrowds comes with blog functionality by default, which makes it simple for you to incorporate this community feature into your site by following a few easy steps that we've outlined below.

To add new posts to a blog:

  1. From your live site, log in by clicking the "Sign in" link in the upper right hand corner.
  2. Click on the "Blog" tab.
  3. Click "Create"at the bottom of the page.
  4. Select Content Type "Blog Post," which is the default blog content type included with the system. If your blog is set up to include a different Content Type, use that type when creating your post.
  5. Fill in relevant information such as the blog title, content, and description.
  6. Click "Create Page" to submit the new post.

Your new post should be included on the blog home page. (This is of course dependent upon start date, sort method, etc.)
